Mac's 34-point game gives him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

31-year old American guard Sheldon Mac (196-G-1992, agency: Slash Sports) had a very impressive game in the last week for Super Santeros de Aguada and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 25.
He had the game-high 34 points adding six rebounds and three assists for Aguada in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Manati (#5, 13-15) with 26-point margin 112-86. Aguada maintains the 3rd position in their group in the Puerto Rican league. Aguada is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 13-16 record. In the team's last game Mac had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Aguada, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Sheldon Mac averages this season 21.9ppg.

Second best performed player last week was Ismael Romero (205-C-1991) of league's second-best Mets de Guaynabo. He is naturalized Cuban center in his first season at Guaynabo. In the last game Romero recorded an impressive double-double of 24 points and 15 rebounds. Of course Mets cruised to a 73-63 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Ponce (#5, 10-15). This victory allowed Guaynabo to move up to second position in Group B. His team's 14-10 record is not bad at all. Romero is one of the most experienced players at Guaynabo and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-PG-1991, agency: Interperformances) of Leones de Ponce (#5). De Jesus scored 26 points and passed 9 assists. Despite De Jesus' great performance the Leones lost 89-100 to the higher-ranked Arecibo (#1, 20-6). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Ponce ranking at the top of Group A, however are very questionable as they have already lost 15 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, De Jesus could help Ponce to bring them higher in the standings. De Jesus has a very solid season. In 25 games in Puerto Rico he scored 15.5ppg. He also has 4.0apg and a FGP of 52.3%.
